History

City of TOULOUSE in France : Well-Edis was founded in 2002 – a combination of 2 words:  the English word “Well” and the Latin word “Mercedis” (goods); the main idea behind and the meaning of Well-Edis is: Commerce in favour of well-being.

I was born in the Aveyron place and inherited a love of effort and work well done.

In 1982, I was living in Toulouse and, as a result of a health problem, I discovered Essential Oils for their usefulness and healing efficacy. Having seen the results for myself, I began a course in aromatherapy and was guided towards the natural healing sector.

Aromatherapy: the use of Essential Oils is based on aroma biochemistry, the foundations of which were developed by Pierre Franchomme in the late ‘80s (see the book “L’Aromathérapie exactement” (published by Roger Jollois). Philippe Mailhebiau and his team have made a major contribution to Aromatherapy in terms of both biochemistry (the HEBBD or now EOBBD label) and the development of “The Characterology of Essential Oils" concept that links aroma biochemistry to the psycho-sensory aspect of Essential Oils.

There’s a huge amount of work to do, and what we have already done opens up an infinite number of opportunities ahead of us.

For the last 28 years I have remained truly fascinated by the world of Essential Oils and this passion can be seen in all the products we make at Well-Edis.
